Air Fryer Baby Back Ribs Recipe

Ingredients Needed
-
1 rack baby back ribs
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
-
1 tablespoon brown sugar
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon onion powder
-
½ teaspoon chili powder
-
1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
-
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with a paper towel. Cut the rack into 4 portions. In a small bowl, combine olive oil and liquid smoke, then rub it on both sides of the ribs.
-
In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. Generously season both sides of the ribs with this spice blend. Let the ribs sit for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
Place the ribs bone-side down in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping. If needed, cook in batches.
-
Cook the ribs for 15 minutes. Flip them so the meat side is down and cook for another 10 minutes. Afterward, remove the ribs and brush the bone side with 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce. Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Flip the ribs again, brush the meat side with the remaining BBQ sauce, and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the desired level of char is reached.
