Asian-Inspired Meatloaf
Ingredients List
For the Meatloaf:

1 ½ pounds ground beef

½ pound ground pork

3 slices bread, broken up into small pieces

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 stalks celery, finely chopped

2 large eggs, lightly beaten

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
For the Glaze:

½ cup hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons ketchup
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the meatloaf: In a mixing bowl, combine beef, pork, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, eggs, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and ginger until evenly blended. Transfer the mixture into a 9x5-inch loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the glaze: Stir together hoisin sauce and ketchup in a small bowl.

Once the meatloaf is done, remove it from the oven and discard any excess grease. Spread the glaze over the top and continue baking for another 20 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink inside. An instant-read thermometer should show at least 160°F (70°C) in the center. Let the meatloaf rest for 5 minutes before serving.
