Baked Rotini Pasta

Ingredients List

1 (16 ounce) package rotini pasta

½ pound lean ground beef

1 teaspoon diced onion

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions

Boil rotini pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain well.

Brown ground turkey or beef in a skillet over medium heat. Season with diced onion, salt, and pepper. Stir in half the spaghetti sauce.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked meat mixture with the drained pasta and stir in the remaining spaghetti sauce. Transfer everything into a 2-quart baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (230°C). Bake the casserole for 20 minutes. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes. Serve warm.
