Bow Tie Pasta with Garlic, Broccoli, and a Lemon Twist

¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 (8 ounce) package farfalle (bow tie) pasta

1 head broccoli, cut into florets

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a small pan over low heat. Add garlic and cook gently until golden, about 2-3 minutes. Be cautious not to burn the garlic. Stir in fresh lemon juice, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

In the meantime, cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water. About 5 minutes before the pasta is finished, add the broccoli to the pot. Continue cooking until the pasta is al dente and the broccoli is tender-crisp. Drain the pasta and broccoli.

Combine the pasta, broccoli, and lemon sauce in a large bowl. Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
