Classic and Easy Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients List

1 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1 (10.75 ounce) can Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)

1 tablespoon ketchup

⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 cup frozen peas and carrots

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter

1 ⅓ cups instant mashed potato flakes or buds
Cooking Instructions

In a 10-inch skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain off excess fat.

Add the soup, ketchup, black pepper, peas, and carrots to the skillet. Mix well and transfer the beef mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.

In a 2-quart saucepan, bring the milk and butter to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and stir in the mashed potatoes. Spread the potato mixture evenly over the beef mixture.

Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown on top.
