½ packet dry onion soup mix

3 slices leftover bread (heels are great), torn into bite-size pieces

1 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning

1 tablespoon water

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ketchup, onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, and water. Mix thoroughly. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a 9-inch pie pan or a 9x13-inch baking dish. Coat the top with ketchup.

Bake in the preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for about 1 hour, or until the edges are crispy and the top forms a golden crust.

Let the meatloaf rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
