Classic Stuffed Bell Peppers

4 medium green bell peppers, tops and seeds removed

1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce

¼ cup white vinegar

1 ½ pounds lean ground beef

1 cup leftover cooked white rice

½ cup Italian-style bread crumbs

6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

¼ cup finely chopped onion

1 large egg, lightly beaten

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Start by collecting all your ingredients. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.

Place the peppers in boiling water and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until softened. Once done, remove them and rinse under cold water to cool.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, breadcrumbs, 4 tablespoons of Parmesan, chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly blended.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Carefully stuff the prepared peppers with the beef mixture.

Place the stuffed peppers into a baking dish with the filling side facing upwards.

In a bowl, mix together the tomato sauce and vinegar. Pour the sauce mixture over the stuffed peppers.
