Crab Alfredo Pasta
Ingredients List
-
8 ounces dried fettucine
-
3 tablespoons butter
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
-
salt and black pepper to taste
-
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
-
2 cups half-and-half
-
1 (4 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
8 ounces crabmeat, flaked
Instructions
-
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and keep warm, covered.
-
While the pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to brown the garlic. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, and cayenne, and cook for 2 minutes while stirring. Lower the heat and stir in half-and-half, cooking for about 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
-
Mix in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Add crabmeat and cook for an additional 3 minutes, until the crab is warmed through.
-
Divide the cooked fettuccine between two plates or bowls and top with the creamy crab sauce.
