Creamy Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

1 pound fettuccini pasta

1 tablespoon butter

1 pound cooked shrimp - peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup half-and-half

6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

salt to taste
Instructions
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine in the boiling water for about 8 minutes until tender yet firm, then drain the pasta.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and garlic, cooking and stirring for 1 minute. Pour in half-and-half and stir well. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, one tablespoon at a time, stirring constantly. Mix in parsley and season with salt. Let the sauce simmer, stirring often, until it thickens.
Toss the fettuccine into the sauce until it's fully coated, then serve while hot.
