Ingredients List
-
1 ½ pounds fresh Brussels sprouts
-
8 slices bacon
-
1 teaspoon butter
-
2 teaspoons olive oil
-
4 cloves garlic, chopped
-
½ cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
-
¼ teaspoon salt
-
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
-
2 teaspoons butter
Cooking Instructions
-
Score an 'X' on the stem of each Brussels sprout. Set them aside.
-
Add bacon to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, flipping occasionally, until evenly crisped, about 10 minutes. Drain and cool on paper towels, then crumble.
-
Heat 1 teaspoon of butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; sauté garlic until golden, 3 to 5 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and toss to coat. Stir in broth, salt, and pepper; cover and cook until sprouts are tender, about 12 to 14 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
-
Stir in the remaining 2 teaspoons of butter into the Brussels sprouts until melted. Add crumbled bacon and serve.
