Dicing Tomatoes Made Simple in 3 Quick Steps

How to Cut Tomatoes into Cubes
Before you start, make sure to peel off any produce labels and give your tomatoes a good rinse. (It's usually easier to peel off the stickers before washing.)
1. Cut the Tomato into Slices

For slicing, use a serrated kitchen knife or a sharp straight-edged knife. Place the tomato on its side and cut it into even slices, starting from the stem and working down to the bottom. Make sure each slice is uniform in thickness.
For steps 2 and 3, cut each piece the same width as the slices from step 1. To achieve a finer dice, make your slices closer together.
2. Slice the Tomato Into Strips
Lay the tomato slices side by side or stack them. Cut the slices into equal-width strips.
3. Cut Strips into Tiny Cubes

Finally, make evenly spaced cuts across the strips, and watch as the pieces fall away into small, perfect cubes. You've successfully diced a tomato!
