Easy Country-Style Ribs

Ingredients
-
2 ½ pounds pork spareribs
-
2 (18 ounce) bottles barbeque sauce
-
1 onion, quartered
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
-
Place spareribs in a large stockpot. Add barbecue sauce, onion, salt, and pepper, then pour in enough water to fully cover the ribs. Bring to a low boil and let simmer for 40 minutes.
-
Preheat your grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate.
-
Transfer the spareribs to the preheated grill, reserving the cooking liquid. Grill the ribs, frequently basting with the reserved liquid and turning often, until they are nicely browned, about 20 minutes.
