Egg and Bacon French Toast Sandwich

½ cup maple syrup
Instructions
Soak slices of bread in beaten eggs. Warm up a lightly greased griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove from heat and keep warm.
Add bacon to a large, deep skillet and cook over medium-high heat until crispy and evenly browned. Remove from the pan, drain, and set aside. Retain 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan to fry the remaining two eggs.
Place a slice of French toast on each of two plates. Top with a fried egg, followed by strips of crispy bacon. Finish by placing the second slice of French toast on top and drizzling with syrup.
