Pork Chop Foil Packets
Ingredients List
-
2 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil
-
2 (1 1/4 inch thick) pork chops
-
2 large sweet potato, peeled and cubed
-
2 slices onion
-
2 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Lay out two large sheets of aluminum foil, each big enough to hold half of the ingredients. Place a pork chop in the center of each foil piece. Layer with half of the sweet potato, one slice of onion, and half of the apples. Fold the foil and seal the packets tightly.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the sweet potato is tender when pierced with a fork. Do not open the foil packets during baking to keep the steam trapped, which helps keep the pork chops moist. Be cautious when opening the packets, as the steam can burn.
