Pork Chops with Creamy Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients List
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
4 bone-in pork chops
-
1 teaspoon garlic salt
-
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 (6 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
-
1 (10.75 ounce) can golden mushroom soup (such as Campbell's®)
-
2 tablespoons water
Instructions
-
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Season the pork chops with garlic salt and black pepper. Brown the pork chops in the hot oil for about 5-8 minutes on each side, then transfer them to a plate.
-
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the mushrooms until tender, about 5-8 minutes. Stir occasionally, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Stir in the golden mushroom soup and water, mixing well with the mushrooms.
-
Return the browned pork chops along with any juices to the skillet, spooning the mushroom sauce over the chops. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork is fully cooked and no longer pink inside. Occasionally spoon more sauce over the pork as it cooks.
