Pork Marsala

Ingredients
-
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
-
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon dried oregano
-
¼ teaspoon garlic salt
-
¼ teaspoon salt
-
1 pound boneless pork loin chops, pounded thin
-
¼ cup olive oil
-
3 tablespoons butter
-
2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
-
1 teaspoon minced garlic
-
1 cup Marsala wine, or more as needed
Directions
-
In a medium bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, oregano, garlic salt, and salt. Add the pork chops and toss them until they're evenly coated with the mixture.
-
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides in the hot oil-butter mixture, turning occasionally. Once browned, add the mushrooms and garlic. Stir and cook until the mushrooms begin to soften and the garlic becomes fragrant, about 1 minute.
-
Pour in the wine, scraping the bottom of the skillet to lift any browned bits. Cover the skillet and simmer on medium heat for about 15 minutes, until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened. Check the pork's internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer— it should reach at least 145°F (63°C). If the sauce is too thick, thin it out with a little more wine, stirring as needed.
