1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped

¼ teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste

¼ teaspoon onion powder, or to taste

salt and pepper to taste

3 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Prepare all the ingredients.

In a stainless steel pot, combine green beans, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper over medium-high heat. Cover and cook until the beans start to release moisture. Once the lid is removed, stir occasionally until the beans are tender.

Once the beans and spices begin to lightly char on the pan's bottom, stir in olive oil and remove from heat. Cover and let sit for a few minutes.

Scrape the bottom of the pan to mix in the charred spices. The beans should have a rich, caramelized color but not be overly blackened.
