Scrumptious Broccoli Marinara

Ingredients Needed

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, basil and olive oil

1 pound broccoli florets

2 cloves garlic, chopped

salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Warm olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for a couple of minutes, stirring continuously. Pour in the tomatoes along with their juices, and let it simmer until the liquid reduces by about half. Layer the broccoli over the tomatoes, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender but still bright green. Avoid overcooking. Transfer to a serving dish, toss gently to mix with the sauce, and serve immediately.
