Simple Lasagna with Uncooked Noodles

Ingredients Needed

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the sauce: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes. Add the chopped onion and mushrooms, and sauté until the onions become translucent. Stir in the pasta sauce and cook until fully heated through. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the cottage cheese, ricotta, eggs, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well mixed and set aside.
Start by spreading a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom of a 13x9-inch baking dish. Add a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles, followed by the cheese filling, mozzarella, and meat sauce. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, saving 1/2 cup of mozzarella for later. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil, sprinkle the reserved 1/2 cup of mozzarella on top, and continue baking until the cheese is melted, about 15 more minutes. Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
