Slow Cooker Chicken Tetrazzini


Ingredients

6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix

2 tablespoons butter
-
1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup

½ cup chicken broth

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
Instructions

Place the chicken into the slow cooker. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of melted butter and sprinkle with the Italian dressing mix.

Cover and cook on High for 3 hours.

In a large skillet, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until the onion softens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and cream cheese. Pour the mixture over the cooked chicken in the slow cooker.

Cover again and cook on Low until the chicken is fork-tender and the sauce has thickened, about 1 more hour.
