Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin
Ingredients List
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 pounds pork tenderloin
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
½ cup teriyaki sauce
-
¼ cup brown sugar
-
½ large onion, sliced
-
4 cloves garlic, chopped
-
3 fresh red chile peppers, chopped, or to taste
-
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork tenderloins on all sides until browned, about 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, combine chicken broth, teriyaki sauce, and brown sugar. Stir in chopped onion, garlic, red chili peppers, and black pepper for extra flavor.
Place the seared pork tenderloins into the slow cooker and pour the teriyaki sauce mixture over the top. Cook on Low for approximately 4 hours, turning the meat 2 to 3 times to ensure even cooking. The tenderloins should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) when done.
Once cooked, remove the tenderloins from the slow cooker and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Drizzle the sauce over the slices when serving, if desired.
