Smoked Salmon and Cheese Quiche
Ingredients List
-
1 (9 inch) pie crust pastry
-
8 ounces smoked salmon, or more to taste, broken into small pieces
-
5 ounces cream cheese
-
1 teaspoon dill (Optional)
-
8 eggs, or more to taste
-
¾ cup milk
-
salt and ground black pepper to taste
-
1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gently press the pie crust into a pie dish to form the base.
Place in the preheated oven and bake until the crust turns a light golden brown, about 10 to 12 minutes.
Layer the salmon evenly across the baked pie crust. Using your hands, spread cream cheese on top of the salmon, then sprinkle dill over the cream cheese layer.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture over the cream cheese layer, just below the edge of the crust. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven until the quiche is fully set and the center has puffed up, about 40 to 50 minutes. Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Cooking Tip
You can use either fresh or dried dill, and feel free to swap out the milk for cream if you prefer a richer texture.
