Keep the tofu in its original packaging and freeze it for 72 hours.

Heat a pot of water to a simmer. Place the frozen tofu package into the water and let it thaw for about 10 minutes. Once thawed, remove from the package, wrap it in cheesecloth, and squeeze out any excess moisture.

Shred, chop, or slice the tofu and use it in your favorite dish.
