Zesty Chili-Spiced French Fries

Ingredients Needed

4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch-thick fries

¼ cup vegetable oil

¼ cup tomato-vegetable juice cocktail

1 tablespoon chili powder

2 teaspoons dried onion granules

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon white sugar

1 tablespoon salt
Cooking Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a large baking sheet.

Soak the potato slices in cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch.

In a large bowl, whisk together oil, vegetable juice cocktail, chili powder, onion powder, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, sugar, and salt.

Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels. Toss them in the seasoned oil mixture until well coated. Spread the fries evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the fries for 20 minutes, flip them over, and continue baking for another 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
