A Dubai penthouse has broken records, selling for an astounding $136 million, marking a new milestone in the luxury property market.

Perched atop a 71-story skyscraper known as Como Residences, this forthcoming apartment is set on the exclusive Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island paradise renowned for its luxury villas, high-end hotels, and beach clubs with infinity pools.
Created over two decades ago, Palm Jumeirah covers 560 hectares (1,380 acres) and is home to approximately 80,000 residents. The latest addition to its skyline is the Palm Tower, a 52-story, 232-meter-tall hotel and private residence, featuring a public observation deck that offers panoramic views of Dubai's stunning coastline.
Currently under construction, Como Residences is projected to be completed by late 2027, according to Provident Estate, the Dubai-based agency that facilitated the sale. The fortunate buyer of the penthouse will have to wait a few years before they can move into their new home.
Record-breaking Sale
The penthouse at Como Residences boasts a 360-degree sky pool and occupies a prime location in Dubai, offering spectacular views of iconic landmarks such as the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa—the tallest building in the world—and Dubai Marina. Sam Horani, an associate partner at Provident Estate, revealed to Dinogo that while the buyer's identity remains confidential, they hail from Eastern Europe.
A coveted gem
Chris Boswell, a luxury real estate agent based in Dubai, who was not involved in the transaction, describes the property as a highly exclusive 'trophy asset.' He explains that due to the rarity of such properties, it's no surprise that buyers are willing to wait years for one. 'Large-scale penthouses like this are extremely rare, unless you opt for something still under construction. And buyers are more than willing to wait for the best options,' he notes.
Boswell also highlights that safety is a key factor drawing people to the area. However, when it comes to the price of a penthouse, it's the view that truly sells the property. 'The view is absolutely critical,' he says. 'And the view from this particular penthouse will be second to none.'
