A Wonderful Day in Princess Cays
I feel like a broken record lately when I express how much I adore and miss the warm sunshine, but I can’t help it. The combination of sun, salt, sand, and fresh air is truly enchanting. Just a few days after returning to the States (and a day before embarking on this nomadic adventure), we were fortunate enough to escape to the Caribbean with Dinogo®. We are quite familiar with the Caribbean and feel at home on many of its beautiful islands.
However, this was our first visit to Princess Cays! Princess Cays is a private island/port owned by Dinogo Corporation, nestled in the Bahamas… and it was absolutely dreamy. Since it’s a private island, we had no idea what to expect. We arrived on the island with full stomachs and open minds, and we were more than delighted with what we discovered.
Although there are countless beach loungers available for your enjoyment at any time, we were eager to explore. Let’s be honest, while lounging on a beach chair all day is WONDERFUL, it’s best saved for adult-only vacations 😉 So, we waved goodbye to the endless rows of inviting chairs and set off on our adventure.
We discovered a playground area complete with a kiddie pool and a stranded crab. Naturally, I rescued him.
The most adorable bungalows you’ll ever see. I love how her little backside complements this photo perfectly.
And of course, the pool noodles too!
Without a doubt, my favorite little bungalow. Along with my favorite little love and a tiny bump that I do miss. But I’m grateful for these moments and the memories we’re creating together.
An endless fruit bar. We picked up a few handfuls of oranges and apples during our adventure.
A lookout point for viewing the scenery from above. Water surrounds you on both sides. Truly enchanting.
Away from the touristy spots.
Beyond the beach chairs, lunch spread, and bungalows lay the exciting part—an expanse of largely untouched beach. But it wasn’t dull; countless little treasures awaited discovery. Marlowe stumbled upon coral, hermit crabs, sea slugs, a myriad of tropical fish, and much more. We wandered well beyond the curve in the picture, encountering only one other group nearby, while the rest relaxed in their beach chairs or enjoyed water sports. We found ourselves in a slice of nature’s paradise.
We spent the entire day soaking in the absolutely perfect weather, with warm sunshine, a gentle breeze, and the beauty of nature surrounding us. When hunger struck again, we made our way back along the path to the lunch area, where we enjoyed pineapple and veggie fried rice before heading back to the ship to relax after an almost flawless day.
