Aman is launching a luxurious resort in the Maldives.

Aman is renowned for its ultra-luxurious resorts and hotels located in some of the world's most beloved cities, including Tokyo and Venice, Italy, as well as places as close as Utah and as distant as Phuket, Thailand.
Aman is now establishing its presence in the Maldives, preparing for a brand-new island resort with an opening date yet to be revealed.
Located on Vavuu Atoll, the resort will feature 52 guest rooms and 16 branded residences designed by Kerry Hill Architects, a firm renowned for its association with Aman and responsible for many of the brand's most celebrated properties, such as Aman Kyoto.

While specific details about the resort are still limited, we know that the accommodations will vary in size, with the largest being three-bedroom stand-alone pavilions. There will also be a selection of restaurants, private dining options, and a beach club.

In keeping with the brand's signature style, Aman Maldives will feature a spa that spans over 8,500 square feet, including two private Spa Houses—an Aman hallmark that typically provides space for treatments along with private plunge pools, saunas, or even hammams.
For those ready to invest in an Aman Residence in the Maldives, these exclusive properties will range from five to ten bedrooms and will be situated on private islets with their own beaches, an 82-foot swimming pool, and a personal landing jetty.
Aman enthusiasts have eagerly anticipated a property in the Maldives. Vlad Doronin, Aman’s CEO and chairman, stated that this tropical destination has long been a part of the brand’s growth strategy, emphasizing the commitment to offering unique and transformative experiences in the world’s most extraordinary locations.
This new property is the latest in a robust lineup that includes upcoming hotels and resorts in Bangkok, Miami Beach, Florida, Beverly Hills, California, as well as locations in Mexico, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
Earlier this year, Aman unveiled its new sister brand, Janu, which launched in Tokyo. Janu focuses on community and the social aspects of hospitality, contrasting with Aman’s emphasis on inward reflection and achieving peace and tranquility during visits.
TPG had the opportunity to visit Janu Tokyo this summer, and if it's a preview of what's in store for this new brand from the Aman family, we’re excited to see what the upcoming properties will bring.
