Ashley Park, known for her role in 'Emily in Paris,' discusses her experiences filming in Italy, her favorite travel essentials, and more.
Filming daily in Paris is a dream job, but shooting in Italy was a highlight for Ashley Park. She shared with Dinogo ahead of the show's second half premiere, "That was my favorite part of this season. We filmed in winter in Paris, and arriving in Italy felt like stepping into a beautiful summer with a relaxed pace. The ambiance was wonderful, and I believe it will come through in the show."
In the upcoming part of the season, the cast of the Netflix series, including Lily Collins, travels to Rome, enjoying a fresh setting, delicious food, and delightful drinks. Park mentioned, "After each day of shooting, everyone would linger in the location we were at and enjoy an Aperol Spritz together," in a conversation with T+L.
The classic Italian beverage became a staple in her daily life while filming, alongside plenty of pasta, as she shared with T+L after work hours.
"I joked about it being my Italian time for 'A' foods," she reminisced. "I had to enjoy Roman artichokes and an Aperol Spritz at every restaurant, whether I was having pasta or anything else!"
In a perfect collaboration, Park partnered with Aperol as it returned as an official sponsor for the US Open this year, launching its Tennis Capsule Collection inspired by the popular drink.
With 'Emily' taking the storyline outside of Paris, Park, who plays Mindy Chen, had the chance to explore more off-screen with her boyfriend Paul Forman, who portrays her love interest, Nicolas de Léon.
"We visited the Liguria region and did some exploring," she said. "I've always adored Positano and all of Italy. During filming, I loved wandering around Rome during my free time.”

When asked about her desired destination for the next season of Emily in Paris,
"I’m not very demanding," she expressed to T+L. "I definitely don’t want to film in a cold place. I want to make it clear: no winter shoots for this show! I’d prefer the vibrant summer lifestyle of Italy. Thank you very much!"
