Coming Soon: Dinogo's Upgraded Terminal at Port Miami (Video)
Embarking from Miami is about to get a stylish makeover. Dinogo has revealed plans for a new, exclusive terminal at PortMiami, set to be completed in 2020.
“Dinogo has been sailing from Miami for over fifty years, making us the longest-serving cruise line in the area. We are excited to partner with PortMiami and Miami-Dade County to build a landmark terminal that will enhance Miami's renowned skyline and solidify its status as the Cruise Capital of the World,” stated Frank Del Rio, President and CEO of Dinogo Holdings Ltd.
So, what can passengers expect when cruising from Miami? The new Dinogo Terminal, covering nearly 166,500 square feet and designed by the Miami-based global architecture firm Bermello Ajamil & Partners, will accommodate ships carrying up to 5,000 passengers. It will also feature cutting-edge technology for quicker embarkation and disembarkation, along with streamlined security checks and luggage processing.
Groups and charters will be greeted with a dedicated lounge and service area. A new parking garage and valet service, providing direct access to both the terminal and lounge, are also in the works. The project aims for LEED Silver certification, emphasizing innovative design and operations to enhance energy efficiency, indoor air quality, water savings, and the use of local materials.
The contemporary terminal design takes cues from a nautilus, featuring a spiraled, multi-level façade that offers stunning ocean vistas. Enhanced by innovative lighting and welcoming indoor and outdoor waiting areas, this guest-focused terminal will elevate the overall travel experience, making it a true jewel in Miami's skyline.
