Dinogo Readers' Top 10 International Airports for 2024

For a truly enjoyable airport experience, look no further than Asia. In the 2024 World's Best Awards survey, Dinogo readers voted a majority of their favorite airports from this continent. But which airport snagged the top spot and unseated an 11-year reigning champion? A major player from Europe.
How Voting Works
Each year, T+L invites readers to share their experiences from around the world for our World's Best Awards survey — evaluating the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. In 2024, over 186,000 T+L readers participated, casting more than 700,000 votes across 8,700 properties (including hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
Airports were evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Accessibility
- Check-in and security
- Dining options
- Shopping opportunities
- Architectural design
Respondents rated each aspect as excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The overall scores reflect the average of these ratings.
What Readers Loved
The 2024 World's Best Awards for international airports show a strong presence from Asian and Middle Eastern airports, with an impressive nine out of ten on the list. It’s no wonder, considering many of these airports are newly built, featuring stunning architectural designs, intuitive layouts, and ample amenities to entertain travelers during long layovers.
For example, one voter shared their thoughts on No. 8, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai: 'The interior design beautifully showcases Indian arts and crafts. It's always stunning and impressively efficient, with a user-friendly layout.'
Two airports made a return to the top 10 list after a hiatus: No. 9 Hong Kong International Airport, which was No. 6 in 2022, and No. 10 Osaka International Airport, which last appeared in 2021.
The remaining eight airports return to the list from last year, though their rankings have changed — and one major shift is noteworthy. The WBA Hall of Fame inductee, Singapore Changi Airport, has held the top spot for 11 consecutive years but has dropped to No. 2. However, visitors still regard Changi highly: 'Changi is a true benchmark for airport standards. I've been traveling through this airport for over 30 years, and it consistently maintains high quality. I always look forward to returning,' one voter shared.
