Accessing remote destinations beyond the reach of larger vessels

UnCruise specializes in taking guests to hidden gems that larger ships cannot access. For instance, while most visitors to Glacier Bay National Park only see a small portion of its expansive 3.3 million acres (about the size of Connecticut), UnCruise guests are privileged to venture much deeper into the park, exploring the rugged shores of Fern Harbor, the breathtaking Dundas Bay, and the secluded No Name Cove. Some itineraries even offer the chance to spend two full days immersed in the park’s stunning scenery.

UnCruise is the only company authorized to guide guests in Corner Bay, located near the southeastern tip of Chichagof Island. As the ship approaches land, you're likely to spot brown bears along the shoreline. This area features a labyrinth of trails and abandoned Forest Service roads, creating exceptional hiking and biking opportunities. Guests also have the unique experience of meeting a local family to learn about life and work in Alaska's wilderness.

Certain itineraries feature a leisurely journey through the South Baranof Wilderness Area, framed by stunning glacier-carved fjords and granite peaks. In Alaska, the ebb and flow of the tides influence the schedule of many daily activities, including visits to the LeConte Glacier, the southernmost tidewater glacier in the northern hemisphere. If the tide is low, guests may awaken to the sound of the striking blue ice pressing against the ship's hull.

Guests have another opportunity to experience a glacier up close in Thomas Bay. In the morning, they can choose between leisurely flat hikes or challenging climbs. Later, they’re likely to witness the impressive Baird Glacier calving into the waters. Afterward, the ship relocates to the opposite end of the bay for evening activities like skiff tours and kayaking during the enchanting pre-dusk hours when the wild sounds come alive.

Wildlife is abundant in the Alaskan wilderness—orca, Steller sea lions, dolphins, and bears all call it home.
