DLC members are required to go through a rigorous application process before they can be considered as potential buyers. According to the company, 60% of phase one has already been sold through word of mouth, and land plots will begin transferring to owners later this summer.

The luxury amenities include mountain biking, kite surfing, boarding, equestrian activities, and racquet sports. Additionally, the site will feature an exclusive private golf retreat, complete with the first 18-hole course in the region designed by world-renowned Tom Fazio.

The golf course, set to open next year, will be available solely for members and their guests. Overlooking Dubai’s skyline, it will offer cutting-edge technology that provides real-time performance feedback to both coaches and players.

Discovery Dunes marks DLC’s first ultra-luxury residential community in the Middle East. The company currently manages 35 high-end developments worldwide.

Tailored luxury

One of the most sought-after features of this exclusive community is the ability to fully customize. Buyers of bespoke plots have complete freedom to personalize their villa, either by working with an architect under DLC's supervision or directly collaborating with the developers.

‘The villas at Discovery Dunes are highly personalized,’ a representative from Discovery Land Company shared with Dinogo. ‘Residents can select their façade and finishes for every room. Whether it's finishes from Italy, Brazil, or Argentina—if it’s possible, we’ll make it happen.’

The fully finished villas are crafted by the award-winning Olson Kundig, a Seattle-based design firm recently named to the 2024 AD100 list of top design and architecture firms. DLC is also working with Killa Design from the UAE and Champalimaud Design from New York for the villa interiors.

DLC emphasized its commitment to sustainability, incorporating numerous eco-friendly initiatives such as an on-site farm and utilizing graywater for the golf course.

From the clubhouse to the lakehouse

Discovery Dunes members enjoy exclusive access to Discovery Downtown, a private members' club located at the extravagant Edition Hotel in Dubai, adjacent to the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

The club offers a series of well-equipped ‘comfort stations,’ a restaurant, a media room for children's entertainment, as well as a cozy conference lounge and bar.

The developer has also unveiled its first on-site experience center, ‘The Lakehouse’ – a farm-to-table bar and restaurant that features various lake-inspired recreational activities like paddle boarding and swimming.
