Among the usual Black Friday travel deals and discounts, there's an extraordinary new offer from Air Tahiti Nui, the premier airline of French Polynesia. To celebrate 25 years of operation, Air Tahiti Nui is introducing a new multi-flight pass for $1,525, which includes round-trip tickets to four international destinations, valid for a year.

Save the date: The Tiare Pass will be available for booking on November 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. PST (the Saturday following Thanksgiving) and will be on sale for 25 hours, closing on November 26, 2023, at 10 a.m. PST. Only 250 passes will be sold, so interested travelers should act quickly. Bookings can only be made by calling the airline's reservation team directly during the sale period, with a phone number provided at this link on the Air Tahiti Nui website once the sale goes live.

The pass is valid for travel from December 1, 2023, to December 1, 2024. Throughout the year, travelers can reserve four round-trip flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Auckland Airport (AKL) in New Zealand; Fa’a'ā International Airport (PPT) near Papeete in Tahiti; Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG); and Tokyo Narita (NRT)—four key destinations served by Air Tahiti Nui.

For $1,525, the fare includes four round-trip flights, one checked bag per flight, onboard meal service, and applicable taxes and fees. Buyers will have 24 hours after purchase to cancel for a full refund; afterward, the Tiare Pass becomes nonrefundable. Ticket vouchers for the Tiare Pass will be sent via email by December 1, 2023, and the airline advises booking individual round-trip flights as early as possible to prevent sold-out flights. Tiare Pass holders must book by calling the airline’s reservations team and can do so without booking all flights simultaneously. Changes to booked flights are permitted for a fee of $150 per ticket.

All flights included in the Tiare Pass are in economy class, but passengers can opt for upgrades at the airport check-in, depending on availability (upgrades are not available during the initial booking over the phone). The Tiare Pass is exclusively valid for Air Tahiti Nui flights and cannot be used with codeshare partners.

Additionally, “a visit lasting 24 hours or more in a destination will count as one of the four allowed destinations. For instance, if a traveler spends at least 24 hours in Papeete, Tahiti, on the way to Auckland or Tokyo, it counts as their Tahiti visit on the Tiare Pass, leaving them with two destinations remaining after their stay in Auckland or Tokyo,” the airline clarified in an email.

Another important note regarding the Tiare Pass is that flights to Tokyo will not be available for booking from May 8 to October 26, 2024.
