Essential guide to statement credits: Perks and benefits you shouldn't miss

At TPG, we focus on getting the most out of our credit cards. This includes taking full advantage of all the benefits offered by issuers, including statement credits.
Our monthly checklist showcases all the perks and benefits you should utilize each month. Whether you have one or multiple credit cards, keeping a checklist as a reminder is a fantastic way to ensure you make the most of what’s available.
Some statement credits are offered at irregular intervals, like quarterly, biannually, or annually, and these are the ones we tend to overlook.
Here are some crucial reminders for statement credits that you should keep in mind. I recommend bookmarking this page and checking back every quarter.

American Express
There are many card benefits available, and you should take advantage of them since Amex provides various statement credits throughout the year. Remember, these amounts are "up to" values, indicating the maximum you can receive in statement credits. If you spend less, you'll only be reimbursed for that lower amount.
Moreover, these credits cannot be carried over for future use. They operate on a "use it or lose it" basis.
