There are countless reasons to plan a trip centered around a major sporting event, and for me, Formula One presents a unique chance to discover a city during a time when the atmosphere is truly special.

Unlike attending a single sports event, F1 revolves around an entire weekend of excitement, allowing you to feel the thrill and anticipation build from practice to qualifying, and finally to race day. With 24 spectacular race venues situated in diverse cities, no two F1 races have the same setting — from deserts to lakes and mountains to marinas, the F1 2024 calendar is filled with iconic tracks.

For those preferring to stay closer to home, following the hugely successful debut in Las Vegas in 2023, the 2024 F1 calendar will again feature more races on U.S. soil than in any other country. I attended last year's Vegas race weekend, and MGM Resorts International has just announced that my favorite viewing spot is back for another year: the Bellagio Fountain Club, which offers unobstructed views of the Winner's Stage and the Strip, along with indoor and outdoor entertainment spaces, open bars, and unlimited gourmet food from top chefs like Mario Carbone, David Chang, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and more in 2024. (Tickets just went on sale.) This year, the U.S. lineup will include Miami and Austin alongside Vegas.
