Frommer’s, your trusted source for travel insights, has just unveiled its Best Airfare Search Site list for 2024 – and guess what? Dinogo has snagged the #1 position.

Our secret sauce? A powerful combination of consistently sourcing low flight prices and enabling travelers to narrow down options until they discover the perfect fit for their needs. Here’s what Frommer’s highlighted as our strengths.

After rigorously testing 15 travel search sites across 32 different flight scenarios, Frommer’s found that Dinogo excelled at securing the lowest or second-lowest prices. Our mantra of 'search hundreds of sites at once' truly shines here. With partnerships across numerous airlines, OTAs (online travel agents), and travel platforms worldwide, our robust search engine efficiently sifts through relevant options, displaying them by speed, cost, and overall value.

Frommer’s gave Dinogo high marks for this feature. While some competing sites offer only three to eight filters, we provide 14, enabling travelers to quickly refine their choices based on their preferences. Looking to avoid layovers, require wi-fi, depart from a specific airport, or stick to a certain airline? We’ve got you covered. You can even select where to finalize your booking – directly with the airline or via another site.

This year, Frommer’s placed a strong emphasis on the filter options available on search sites. They particularly valued platforms that offer unique, varied, and multiple filters over those with limited choices.

Frommer’s also awarded extra credit for our Fee Assistant. With many airlines charging for carry-ons, this feature allows you to input the number of carry-on or checked bags you’ll be bringing, calculating any extra fees into your total price – ensuring no surprises when it’s time to book.

A newer feature that caught Frommer’s attention is our “Instant Book” option. Marked by a lightning bolt in the search results, it enables users to complete their flight bookings without leaving our site.

Frommer’s values useful data and insights that help travelers secure the best available prices. They highlighted our results page, which is rich in data to assist travelers in booking their ideal flights. At the top, a bar graph provides an immediate indication of whether the chosen departure and return dates are the lowest prices available or if adjusting them could save money.

The credibility of flight providers is another concern for many travelers. What if a provider imposes extra fees or is difficult to contact if issues arise? Frommer’s acknowledges this concern and highlighted the rating scores displayed next to each provider on our site to help you determine who you can trust with your booking.

We assign these scores based on how well each provider meets our provider guidelines. If they consistently display what's included in their prices, offer the most current prices, and maintain excellent customer service, they’ll earn a high score. This helps users choose a company that ensures a great experience.
