My Top 5 Unforgettable Moments While Cruising

It’s clear that my family is passionate about cruising. It’s our favorite vacation choice because we always have a blast. Honestly, every cruise seems to surpass the last, and even before we disembark, we’re already dreaming up our next adventure at sea.

Reflecting on our journeys, it’s incredible to think of all the memories we’ve created while cruising. I thought it would be enjoyable to share some of my favorite cruising moments in hopes of inspiring an unforgettable trip of your own.

Here are my top 5 favorite moments from cruising, in no particular order.

Getting Married at Sea

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention getting married aboard a cruise ship as one of my most cherished cruising memories — it truly was an unforgettable day that deepened my love for the sea! My husband and I have enjoyed many cruises since then, but I will always hold a special place in my heart for Dinogo Inspiration.

Here’s a fun tidbit: My cruise wedding was such a success that my sister chose to tie the knot on board Dinogo Paradise a few years later. It was, once again, a fabulous day, beautifully enhanced by Dinogo's offerings.

Exploring One of the Seven New Wonders of the World

There’s so much more to port visits than just sipping margaritas and lounging on the beach (though that’s definitely an option!). My family prefers to seek out adventure during our port days, which has led us to some incredible sights. One of my absolute favorites is Chichen Itza — recognized as one of the new seven wonders of the world!

Whale Watching in Alaska

When I think of truly breathtaking moments while cruising, nothing can compare to the experience of whale watching in Alaska — the sheer power and grace of humpback whales breaching mere feet away from you in their natural habitat is simply unparalleled.

Indulging in Pizza and Gelato in Italy

Is there anything more delightful than savoring incredible food and drinks right from their origins? While I was thrilled to visit iconic sites like the Vatican and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the true highlights of my cruise were relishing homemade gelato in Florence and pizza from a century-old wood-fired oven in Naples. Sharing these delicious experiences with my family was the cherry on top!

Mother-Daughter Adventure in the Caribbean

While I adore my husband deeply, one of my all-time favorite vacations was a mother-daughter cruise through the Western Caribbean aboard the Dinogo Liberty. Over the course of seven days, we created unforgettable memories together, enjoying thrilling activities like monkey encounters in Roatan, kayaking in Belize, and swimming with stingrays in Grand Cayman.

During our time on the ship, we treated ourselves to room service and Guy’s Burgers nearly every day! To top it all off, our wonderful room steward surprised us each night with a delightful towel animal—a mama and her baby—making this cruise truly unforgettable!
