Norse Atlantic Is Launching One-Way Flights to Europe Starting at $129 and Premium Round-Trip Fares from $822
If skyrocketing international airfare has held you back from planning a trip to Europe this year, Norse Atlantic Airways' latest offer could be a game changer. In celebration of its first anniversary, this Norway-based low-cost airline is hosting a flash sale, featuring flights from the U.S. to Europe for as low as $129 each way in Economy Light. Additionally, there’s a fantastic offer for premium class tickets to London starting at $822 round-trip.
The sale is valid until 11:59 p.m. on June 20, covering travel dates from August 21, 2023, to March 29, 2024, depending on the route, with blackout periods from December 14 to January 8.
Norse currently provides flights from Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. to five major European destinations: Berlin, London, Oslo, Paris, and Rome. Some of the best bargains can be found on routes between London and New York, which are the carrier’s largest and second-largest bases, respectively.

The lowest prices are for Economy Light tickets, which come with the strictest change policies (any modifications incur a $200 fee) and only permit a free underseat bag, with extra charges for all other luggage (overhead and checked). Meals are not included in Economy Light. Norse also provides Economy Classic and Economy Flextra options, which are slightly more expensive but offer additional perks.
Norse Atlantic’s premium service includes wider seats with a 43-inch pitch and generous recline, according to the airline. There are three tiers: Premium Light, Premium Classic, and Premium Flextra. The $822 roundtrip flights from SFO to London currently fall under Premium Light, allowing one free carry-on, two meal services, and priority check-in. Adding checked luggage costs about $75 more each way. According to Going.com (formerly Scott’s Cheap Flights), these prices remain competitive even with the addition of checked bags for the long-haul flight from California to the U.K.
Norse Atlantic Airways is the successor to Norwegian Air’s transatlantic division, which was once among the largest European airlines servicing the U.S. However, Norwegian discontinued transatlantic operations in early 2021 following bankruptcy. Norwegian Air continues to offer flights within Europe.
