Ongoing Hilton promotion for purchasing points

During this promotion, you can earn a 100% bonus when purchasing a minimum of 5,000 points. (Keep in mind that this offer may be targeted, and your required point amount could vary.) You can buy up to 235,000 points in total, resulting in 470,000 points with the bonus. Purchases must be made in increments of 1,000 points.
Regardless of how many points you choose to buy, they will be priced at a consistent rate of 0.5 cents each during this offer.

Visit Hilton's website to purchase Honors points during this promotional period. If you're not already a Hilton member, you can register, but please note that you'll need to wait between 30 and 90 days before you can buy points.
Hilton's policies and guidelines specify:
"A newly enrolled Hilton Honors Member may begin purchasing Points 30 days after joining, provided their account shows activity, such as a stay (as defined herein) or earning Hilton Honors Points through a Hilton Honors Marketing Partner. After 90 days from enrollment, a new Member can buy Points regardless of account activity."
Is it worth purchasing Hilton points during this promotion?
Usually, Hilton prices points at 1 cent each. However, with this bonus, you can acquire them for just 0.5 cents each—lower than TPG's August 2024 valuation of Hilton points at 0.6 cents. A rate of half a cent per point is typically the lowest at which Hilton offers its points.
We frequently recommend buying points only when you have a specific redemption plan in mind. For instance, if you possess 100,000 Hilton Honors points but need 250,000 for a particular award stay, taking advantage of this promotion to purchase an additional 150,000 points would allow you to secure your vacation now.
Even if you don’t have a specific redemption in mind, purchasing points during promotions like this can be an excellent way to save on expensive Hilton hotels such as the Conrad Bora Bora Nui and the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa. For instance, nightly rates at the Conrad Bora Bora Nui often range from $1,000 to $2,000 (or even higher). However, if you find rooms priced at 120,000 Hilton Honors points per night, you’ll be effectively paying $600 per night if you acquire the points at half a cent each.

If you’re looking for something a bit different, keep in mind that Small Luxury Hotels of the World has recently become part of the Hilton Honors program, featuring hundreds of boutique properties around the globe.
For example, as a Hilton Honors member, you could book the SLH's The Stavrand Russian River Valley in Guerneville, California, for $685 per night. Alternatively, you could take advantage of this promotion to buy 90,000 points for $450 and secure a standard room reward night, saving you $235 per night in the process.

Promotions for purchasing points can also be advantageous at more budget-friendly Hilton hotels. Occasionally, hotels may have inflated cash rates, but redeeming points can make them more affordable.
Best of all, Hilton elite members enjoy a fifth night free on award stays. If you book a stay of at least five nights, this can significantly enhance the value of your points.
Other ways to accumulate Hilton points

If you’re looking to boost your Hilton points for an upcoming redemption, consider spending more on your Hilton Honors card or adding a new Hilton card to your collection. Current Hilton Honors American Express promotions include:
- Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card: Receive 165,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $3,000 on the card within the first six months of membership.
- Hilton Honors American Express Card: Get 100,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after making $2,000 in purchases during your first six months with the card.
- The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card: Earn 175,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $8,000 on eligible purchases in the first six months of card membership.
- Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card: Earn 175,000 Hilton Honors bonus points after spending $6,000 on eligible purchases within your first six months.
The details for the Hilton Amex Aspire card have been gathered independently by Dinogo. The information provided here has not been reviewed or endorsed by the card issuer.
You can also convert American Express Membership Rewards points to Hilton Honors at a 1:2 ratio. We advise doing this primarily to top off your account, as there are typically better uses for your Amex Membership Rewards points.
Bottom line
When purchasing Hilton points, the transaction is processed by Points.com, so using a travel rewards card will not yield bonus points. Instead, consider using a daily spending card like the Chase Freedom Unlimited® or the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card to maximize your earnings on point purchases.
Keep in mind that this limited-time offer concludes on September 24. If you're interested in purchasing Hilton points with a 100% bonus, now is the perfect moment to start planning your redemptions.
