Royal Caribbean's Latest Vessel Features a Suspended Infinity Pool, a Supper Club Inspired by the 1930s, and More
Royal Caribbean’s latest ship, Star of the Seas, is set to offer week-long cruises from Port Canaveral in Florida, featuring an array of exciting waterslides, over 40 dining and bar options, and much more.
Slated to launch in August 2025, this ship will be the next addition to Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class, showcasing beloved features from the recently launched Icon of the Seas. With countless thrilling activities, family-friendly poolside entertainment, and an exclusive adults-only retreat with a suspended infinity pool, there’s something for everyone aboard this vessel.
“Star of the Seas marks the second thrilling chapter of this exciting new era in vacations, first launched with Icon of the Seas, placing the world’s finest getaway at yet another premier travel spot,” stated Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. “With more adventurers focusing on Miami and Port Canaveral (Orlando), we offer the ultimate vacation experience that blends the best of all worlds – from beach getaways to resort escapes and theme park thrills – along with unforgettable experiences that will continue to make headlines for years to come.”

Photo: Courtesy of Royal CaribbeanStar of the Seas will boast eight distinct neighborhoods, several designed for cooling off, such as Thrill Island, which features six waterslides ranging from family rafts to a thrilling drop slide. Additionally, Chill Island spans three decks and includes four of the ship’s seven pools, featuring a swim-up bar and the largest pool at sea.
Families will also enjoy the Surfside neighborhood, which includes splash pools for young children alongside a nearby Water’s Edge pool for adults.
Additionally, Royal Caribbean will reintroduce the adults-only The Hideaway neighborhood, featuring a suspended infinity pool, a DJ, a dedicated bar, whirlpools, and more.
Guests will also enjoy Royal Caribbean favorites such as the FlowRider surf simulator, mini golf, and the AquaTheater, complete with a stunning 55-foot waterfall, along with beloved spots like the Royal Promenade, which flows through the heart of the ship, and the open-air Central Park filled with over 30,500 real plants.
When it comes to dining and drinks, Star of the Seas offers an array of options, including the new Lincoln Park Supper Club inspired by 1930s Chicago, sushi and Champagne pick-up windows, and even an AquaDome Market food hall.
As an extra treat, the ship will have its own resident dog named Sailor to delight guests, akin to Icon’s chief dog officer, a Golden Retriever puppy, USA Today reported.
Star of the Seas will embark on 7-night cruises to popular destinations like Cozumel, Mexico, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and more, with a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
