Take a tour inside the latest luxury business jets

Aircraft orders may have been slow at the Singapore Airshow in February 2016, and the private jet industry's outlook may suggest a “relatively flat year ahead,” as noted in a market trends report from avbuyer.com in January 2016.
However, if you were to judge the business jet market based on the Singapore Airshow alone, you’d be forgiven for ignoring all the pessimistic talk. The lines for exclusive jet viewings were lengthy – and at least one jet maker told Dinogo that the wait to purchase one was even longer.

“If you visit Gulfstream today, the next available slot we have is in 2018,” said Steve Cass, vice president of communications at the U.S. company, discussing the demand for their G650 and G650ER models. “We currently have over 150 G650s in operation, with tremendous customer interest.”
The G650 is Gulfstream’s flagship private jet, and the G650ER, its latest iteration, boasts an extended range and a host of exciting new features.
The Gulfstream G650’s cabin management system offers intuitive touch controls and a seamless smartphone interface.
Super-midsize and large jets
Despite the pessimistic forecasts, the private jet industry has seen considerable growth over the past decade. Many insiders remain optimistic about future aircraft sales, particularly in Asia, believing that demand will outpace any economic downturns.

“Ten years ago, there were around 1,400 jets worldwide, and today that number has grown to 2,500,” Cass explained. “The Asia-Pacific region, in particular, has expanded dramatically. In 2005, we had just 35 planes in the region, and now we’re approaching 300.”

A 2015 report from Honeywell Aerospace predicts that over the next decade, the world will require 9,200 new business jet deliveries. More than 80% of those will be focused on mid-sized and large-cabin jets.
