This luxury resort will feature the Caribbean's first ocean pool.
Turks and Caicos has long been celebrated for its soft sugar-sand beaches adorned with stylish resorts. However, on the tranquil southern coast of Providenciales, where limestone cliffs provide breathtaking vistas of the island's renowned turquoise waters, a unique form of luxury is emerging.
Guests arrive at Wymara Villas, situated on one of the highest points of the secluded Turtle Tail peninsula, to discover a rare haven of peace on the bustling Provo island. Aside from a few estate homes, including Prince's former beach house with its distinctive purple driveway, this peninsula remains beautifully undeveloped. This ensures an ultra-private experience, particularly when unwinding in one of the four- or five-bedroom villas that boast oceanfront infinity pools and overwater swim decks. One villa even features a slide that plunges directly into the shimmering aquamarine sea. With the main Wymara Resort just 15 minutes away on Grace Bay Beach, often regarded as the world's best beach, this 15-acre sanctuary is perfectly situated for those seeking the ultimate combination of seclusion and convenience.
ENVISIONWORKS Inc.Wymara is further enhancing its private villa estate experience. This March, it will introduce a 130-foot-long ocean pool—the first of its kind in the Caribbean—alongside its man-made Sunset Cove Beach. Surrounded by newly planted palm trees, the shallow beach is perfect for families, while the Australia-inspired ocean pool offers guests a distinctive spot to swim and enjoy the sunset, according to Bruce Maclaren, owner of Wymara Resort and Villas.

Among its most remarkable features are the newly introduced one-bedroom pool villas, complete with spacious outdoor terraces—developed in 2022 to meet the rising demand from couples looking for a more secluded and romantic getaway. Carved into the rock to preserve the natural landscape, each villa boasts an entrance adorned with pink bougainvillea and a striking stone pathway. The interiors are decorated with locally crafted furniture and a blend of natural textures. Maclaren personally chose many of the materials, including coral stone with fossilized shells from a Dominican Republic quarry and black lava stone from Indonesia, which helps maintain the warmth of the plunge pool.

Until then, guests can savor chef-prepared dishes in their villas or visit Wymara’s acclaimed restaurant, Indigo, where executive chef Andrew Mirosch emphasizes fresh, locally sourced seafood, meats from his native Australia, and Caribbean-inspired dishes. Saturday nights feature Wymara’s beach barbecue, attracting crowds with 24-hour smoked brisket, bonfires, live music, and tables adorned with string lights under a starlit sky. While the tranquility of the villas is hard to leave behind, joining the festivities is a delightful experience—you’ll find yourself swaying to the music alongside the palm trees, with your toes nestled in the famous, powdery white sand.
