Top Resorts in Bermuda
Bermuda boasts an impressive array of credentials as a vacation hotspot. The archipelago consists of over 180 islands and islets, offering an almost limitless coastline. The beaches themselves are among the most stunning natural wonders in this region, with their iconic pink sand, a hue derived from tiny red-shelled organisms, making them a must-see. Additionally, there are many golf courses, sport fishing options, charming villages, and a lively nightlife (don’t miss indulging in a rum swizzle or two) that combine to create a uniquely relaxing experience — all just a short 2-hour flight from most major East Coast airports.
Whether it’s your first trip to Bermuda or a familiar return, consider opting for a luxurious stay. If that’s your aim, you’re in the right place. Here are nine top-notch hotels and resorts to consider during your Bermuda visit, based on our firsthand experiences, editor-approved favorites, and appearances on T+L’s esteemed It List.
Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa
Nhuri BashirUnlike many hotels in Bermuda that require a shuttle to reach the beach, this resort offers direct access to four private beaches.
It’s situated in a quieter part of the island, a few miles from the livelier areas of Bermuda.
While this 23-acre property was recognized on our It List as one of the top new hotels of 2023, Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa has a rich history spanning over 100 years. Known as Bermuda’s first “cottage-style accommodations,” the historic resort underwent a significant renovation in 2022, with Dovetail + Co enhancing the 86 cottages, pool area, spa, and four dining venues — including The Sunken Harbor Club, an “immersive tropical cocktail bar” that has locations in both New York and Bermuda.
Guests choosing this property seek tranquility, relaxation, and a glimpse into Bermudian history. Despite the recent renovations, the resort retains elements of its original architecture, with every accommodation option — from rooms to suites and three-bedroom cottages — featuring a private outdoor seating area, a separate entrance, and views of the surrounding waters.

Rosewood Bermuda

This is among the priciest hotels on the island.
Rosewood Bermuda is undoubtedly the island’s most opulent resort. Since its opening in 2009, this property, with 91 rooms and suites, underwent a comprehensive $25 million renovation ten years later; it now stands as one of the most serene and stylish accommodation options for travelers to Bermuda.
While lounging by the Castle Harbour Pool, the heated Palm Court Pool, or the beachfront pools at the nearby Bermuda Beach Club (a quick shuttle ride away) is tempting, don’t overlook the joy of a leisurely morning in your room or suite. Each accommodation type exudes classic Rosewood charm and impeccable design: crisp white linens, four-poster beds, private balconies, and spacious soaking tubs. For the ultimate experience, enjoy breakfast via room service or visit Island Brasserie for an acai bowl or an omelet. At lunchtime, the Beach Club Restaurant offers hearty options, and for dinner, savor delectable Italian cuisine at Sul Verde.

Bermuda is synonymous with glamour, but no hospitality brand captures luxurious travel like St. Regis. Situated on St. George’s Island, this relatively new resort opened its 120 guest rooms and suites in 2021. With two pools, a spa, and access to Five Forts Golf Club, all amenities feel upscale yet family-friendly; enjoy a day in a poolside cabana or visit one of the island's finest beaches, St. Catherine's Beach.

The Loren at Pink Beach
Image: Courtesy of The Loren at Pink BeachThe Pink Beach Club offers delightful alfresco dining, enhancing your overall experience.
This may not be the ideal choice for families visiting the island.
Upon your arrival at The Loren at Pink Beach, it’s evident that design plays a crucial role here. The atmosphere is sophisticated, catering more to adult guests, complete with Malin+Goetz toiletries, elegant marble bathrooms, and a remarkable art collection featuring pieces by Tony Feher, Cornelia Parker, and Thomas Schutte.
True to its name, guests enjoy direct access to Pink Beach, although many might find themselves drawn to the poolside instead. The hotel boasts two heated pools—one designated for adults and the other for children. For a touch of luxury, consider booking one of the four available cabanas. Beyond sunbathing and swimming, guests can join a yoga class with Salt Yoga Bermuda or indulge in a treatment at the spa. Hamilton Princess & Beach Club

While the hotel is just a short stroll from downtown Hamilton, some guests may desire a more secluded setting for complete relaxation.
My first encounter with Bermuda was at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, famously referred to as the “Pink Palace.” Its striking rose-hued buildings are unforgettable, and the entire property is designed to provide guests with a unique Bermudian experience. On your inaugural evening, consider visiting the full-service marina after dining at either Crown and Anchor or Intrepid, the hotel’s steak, seafood, and raw bar. Be sure to rise early to secure a chair—or a cabana—by the infinity-edge resort pool.
However, the true gem of the Princess is its exclusive off-site beach club. Reserved solely for hotel guests, this private cove is a paradise you’ll never want to leave. Bring along a good book, order some rosé and a Cobb salad, and enjoy a whole day lounging in the overwater hammocks, or engage in paddle boarding, snorkeling, and kayaking in the crystal-clear waters.

The boutique accommodations feature deluxe rooms, luxury rooms, and one-bedroom suites, providing a cozy atmosphere. The tropical gardens and pool, complete with lounge chairs and a cabana, create a serene oasis for guests. When you’re not enjoying the property, take a short stroll into downtown Hamilton to browse the numerous shops.
Huckleberry Restaurant stands out as one of the hotel’s highlights. Named in honor of Mark Twain, this on-site dining venue combines Bermudian flavors with the author’s Southern heritage; expect delectable dishes like braised beef short ribs, culurgiones, and pan-roasted duck breast. Important Information Before You Travel
Bermuda is not in the Caribbean
Despite the pink sand beaches and azure waters suggesting otherwise, Bermuda is not a Caribbean island. It’s situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, with the nearest U.S. state being North Carolina. This location leads to milder temperatures year-round, with the months from November to April generally being less favorable for ocean swimming or basking in the sun on the beach.
Renting a car in Bermuda is not an option
Standard car rentals are not available in Bermuda; in fact, it’s illegal for non-residents to own or drive conventional four-wheeled vehicles, which helps reduce traffic congestion. Taxis can transport visitors around the island, and there are alternative self-driving options. You can rent eco-friendly two-passenger electric “microcars” or motor scooters from various providers — for example, choose a Tazzari from Bermuda Car Rental Ltd or a Twizzy from Current Vehicles. Just remember to drive on the left and be mindful of the speed limits: it’s 15 mph in Hamilton and 21 mph throughout the rest of the island.
Bermuda is a British overseas territory — but it uses its own currency
While you’ll drive on the left side of the road in Bermuda, similar to the British, pounds and pence are not in circulation here. Instead, you’ll use the Bermudian dollar, which has a 1:1 exchange rate with the U.S. dollar. Both currencies are accepted interchangeably across the island.
Our Criteria for Selecting These Hotels
Lydia Mansel is a writer based on the East Coast who has spent nearly ten years traveling to a range of popular tropical destinations, including Bermuda. In creating this list, she drew on editor recommendations and her own firsthand experiences, alongside recent appearances in the It List to select each property. To refine her choices, she meticulously researched and evaluated each hotel’s amenities, decor, location, and other significant features. As always, all selected hotels adhere to our T+L Hotel Values principles.
