As the largest independent airport lounge program available—and a perk for most premium travel credit cards—the Priority Pass network includes over 1,500 lounges and experiences across 145 countries and 700 airports. With such a diverse range of lounges, from unique airport-managed spaces to those owned by major airlines and credit card companies, the quality can vary significantly from one location to another.
At Dinogo, we have previously compiled and ranked our list of the 10 Best Priority Pass Lounges in the World. Now, travelers have had their voices heard as well. After a multi-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Priority Pass Lounge of the Year Awards have returned in 2024, introducing two new categories: Pioneer of the Year Awards and All Star of the Year Awards. Collectively, these are now referred to as the Priority Pass Excellence Awards.
The Lounge of the Year Awards are determined by unsolicited traveler ratings and reviews collected through the Priority Pass app from January 2023 to January 2024. Travelers assessed lounges based on various factors, including facility quality, customer service, food and drink offerings, and overall satisfaction. These evaluations helped identify winners both regionally and globally, with runner-ups being referred to as 'highly commended.' Additionally, a panel of judges from Priority Pass selected the winners for the newly introduced awards—Pioneer of the Year and All Star of the Year—after a nomination period in winter 2024.
The Pioneer of the Year Awards, nominated by Priority Pass partners, acknowledge lounges that provide innovative services to enhance the travel experience, such as state-of-the-art technology and sustainability initiatives. Similarly, the All Star of the Year Awards, also nominated by Priority Pass partners, honor exceptional lounge staff who go the extra mile to enrich the lounge experience.
In total, 11 lounges were awarded Lounge of the Year honors, with one winner and one runner-up in five global regions: North America, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Middle East and Africa, and the Asia Pacific. The lounge with the highest score across all regions is recognized as the overall Global Winner, while the Pioneer of the Year and All Star of the Year Awards are applicable to all regions.
