Turkish Airlines Is Introducing a Chic New Business Class Cabin. Here’s What You Need to Know.
Beginning in 2025, travelers on Turkish Airlines' long-haul routes will experience a lavish new business class. Dubbed Crystal Business Class, the enhanced cabins will feature lie-flat seats, sliding doors, and cutting-edge technology, elevating the Istanbul-based airline to the same level as major carriers like Qatar Airways, Air France, and Lufthansa, all of which have recently revealed or launched luxurious lie-flat business class suites.
The Crystal Business Class cabins will initially be installed on Turkish Airlines' current fleet of Boeing 777-300ERs, starting in 2025. They will also be included in new aircraft arriving in 2026, which will feature 70 Airbus A350-1000s. Furthermore, plans are underway to provide complimentary Wi-Fi for all passengers across different cabin classes.
Here’s what to anticipate on Turkish Airlines flights in 2025 and beyond.
What features await you in the new Crystal Business Class cabins
The upgraded Crystal Business Class cabins will showcase 42 pod-style seats in a staggered 1-2-1 layout, ensuring every seat has direct aisle access. The middle section features 'honeymoon' suites every other row, equipped with a pull-down divider for those traveling together. This new arrangement significantly enhances the experience compared to the existing 2-3-2 setup, which sometimes leaves passengers in less desirable middle seats at the front.
Each suite will come with a sliding door, a lie-flat seat (23 inches wide), a 22-inch 4K high-definition entertainment screen, and noise-canceling headphones. Additional tech features include a wireless charging station, USB-C and universal 110-volt outlets, customizable ambient and reading lights, marble tables, rose-gold accents, and leather sourced from Türkiye.
These new suites enhance an already impressive front-of-plane experience. In June, Turkish Airlines' business class was ranked as the 10th-best by Skytrax, an international air-transport rating organization. The airline also won Best Business Class Onboard Catering, thanks to its mezze platters and the 'Flying Chef' service, where chefs collaborate with the cabin crew to prepare meals in-flight.
Complimentary Wi-Fi for all passengers
The new business-class suites are just part of the upcoming improvements to the Turkish Airlines experience. The airline has announced it will begin offering free fleetwide Wi-Fi by late 2025. Details about the internet provider and service specifics are still pending, but this initiative will place Turkish Airlines among a select few carriers providing complimentary unlimited Wi-Fi, alongside Delta Air Lines and JetBlue.
Turkish Airlines Expands Its U.S. Route Network
In June, Turkish Airlines introduced flights to Denver, marking its 14th destination in the United States. The airline operates four weekly flights between Istanbul and the Mile High City, bringing its total to 347 cities across 130 countries globally.
