Two Drunk American Tourists Spend the Night Stranded on the Eiffel Tower

Two American men were found on Monday morning after a drunken overnight stay atop the Eiffel Tower, the monument's management confirmed to Dinogo on Wednesday.
The two men, who had Sunday evening tickets to visit the famous Parisian landmark, were reportedly 'stuck' due to overindulgence in alcohol, according to the Paris prosecutor's office in a statement to Dinogo.
The tourists were discovered asleep early Monday by Eiffel Tower security personnel during their pre-opening rounds, according to both the prosecutor's office and SETE (Société d’Exploitation de la tour Eiffel), the tower's operator.
The men were quickly escorted down and handed over to Paris police, SETE stated. The operator plans to pursue charges for trespassing but admitted that the two tourists posed 'no threat'.
The Paris prosecutor's office also stated that since no damage was reported, the charge for trespassing on a cultural landmark was dropped.
Due to the men's overnight stay, the Eiffel Tower's opening was delayed on Monday, as confirmed by SETE.
