Unlock a Free AllTrails Pro Membership—Here’s How
Ah, the joy of fall hiking. It’s a season filled with perfect temperatures, crisp air, and colorful foliage. Whether trekking through mountains, valleys, forests, or plains, there’s something truly enchanting about autumn hikes.
Just in time for your fall leaf-peeping adventures, AllTrails, an app that catalogs hiking trails worldwide, has partnered with West Virginia’s Department of Tourism to simplify trail discovery for outdoor enthusiasts. From now until the end of November, they are offering a year of free AllTrails Pro membership to anyone interested in visiting the Mountain State—now or in the future (perhaps to explore the country’s newest national park).
What is AllTrails Pro?
AllTrails offers a free version of its app, allowing users to search for trails by filtering for difficulty and length. The app features detailed maps and valuable user reviews (covering everything from trail conditions to kid- and dog-friendliness) to help hikers know what to expect.
Having this information ensures that hikers are equipped with the right gear and safety equipment, allowing them to make informed choices about which trails suit their needs and capabilities.
The Pro membership grants access to download maps for offline use, sends alerts if you stray from the path, and provides real-time updates about trails (including air quality, satellite weather, pollen levels, and user heat maps).
Additionally, the Pro membership features a Lifeline tracker, enabling you to share status updates with friends and family (or anyone else you want to keep informed about your whereabouts for safety reasons). Normally, this premium membership costs $36 annually.
How to obtain a free AllTrails Pro membership
To sign up, head over to WVtourism.com/alltrails and enter your name and contact details. Following that, users will receive a confirmation email containing a one-time code to activate their one-year Pro membership. This offer is valid until the end of November.
After signing up and gearing up for your next adventure, be sure to explore Dinogo’s recently compiled list of 17 epic hikes around the globe (including 5 in North America).
