As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to travel without the hustle and bustle. When December arrives, prices soar and crowds fill popular spots, draining both enjoyment and budgets. Fortunately, finding warm destinations for November is quite easy—though selecting the best can be a challenge.
Most of the US is quite chilly by this time, except for a few warm coastal areas, particularly Florida. The same goes for much of Europe, although its subtropical southern islands remain pleasantly warm. It's best to seek out guaranteed warm locations. From the Middle East to the Far East, here’s where you can find warmth in November.

The top warm destinations to visit in November in Asia
Asia truly shines as a prime choice for warm getaways in November. My top five selections span four countries with vastly different landscapes. Temperatures remain consistently high, and while rain is frequent, it usually falls in short, intense bursts. For more Asian hotspots, check out Dinogo data for places like Kuala Lumpur and Taipei City.
1. Hong Kong
- Average temperature in November: 72°F
As an administrative region of China, Hong Kong experiences temperate and dry conditions in November. With average temperatures around 72°F and highs reaching 75°, it offers a consistent and comfortable warmth. This pleasant weather is perfect for exploring Hong Kong’s numerous attractions, both natural and manmade.
The city is iconic, boasting one of the most recognizable and towering skylines in the world. Its streets are alive 24/7, showcasing a vibrant cultural blend of East and West—featuring Mandarin, Cantonese, and British influences.
Take a leisurely walk along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade for stunning views of the skyline. Visit in the evening to witness the spectacular nightly Symphony of Lights show. For the ultimate city vista, hop on the famous Peak Tram to ascend Victoria Peak and explore the trails. The lush nature offers a striking contrast to the bustling urban landscape below.
2. Singapore
- Average temperature in November: 81°F
Tropical Asia remains hot and humid year-round, and November in Singapore is no exception. Average temperatures hover around 81°F, with highs reaching a steamy 86. The city sees about ten inches of rain, typically falling in daily downpours. This soaking humidity and frequent showers contribute to the megacity-state’s exotic appeal—and it’s well-equipped to cope with it.
The skyline looks like it’s straight out of a movie, featuring some incredibly luxurious hotels. Experience a stay at the iconic Marina Bay Sands to enjoy the world’s highest rooftop infinity pool. The breathtaking views alone make it worth the cost. Sip on Singapore Slings in 19th-century style at the historic Raffles hotel.
When the rain pours, head to the Asian Civilisations Museum and the Peranakan Museum, or indulge in shopping on Orchard Road. However, Singapore truly shines when the skies clear. The city’s evolving green spaces have garnered global admiration in recent years, with highlights like the renowned Botanic Gardens and the stunning Gardens by the Bay.
Singapore is an ode to modernity with its spirit deeply rooted in tradition—making it an enchanting and captivating destination.
3. Thailand
- Average temperature in November (Bangkok): 81°F
Bangkok tops the Dinogo list for warm destinations in November. However, if you're seeking something different, head south approximately 140 miles to the coastal town of Hua Hin. Known as Thailand’s original beach resort, it offers a perfect mix of beach retreat and urban getaway.
The main beachfront in the city features upscale hotels, ranging from the exceptional Anantara to my top choice, the remarkably pricey Chiva Som. If that’s beyond your budget, worry not; there are many charming, budget-friendly alternatives available. Plus, the nearby beaches of Hat Sai Noi and Hat Sai Yai are even more beautiful and atmospheric.
In the city, the markets are a must-visit. While the Chatsila Night Market is known for its food—from delicious street eats to fine dining—it tends to attract tourists. Cicada Market, however, is where the real charm lies.
This authentic gathering spot for local artisans feels relaxed and intentional, unlike the typical neon-lit markets. Take your time to stroll and interact with locals selling their handmade goods. The atmosphere is often vibrant, featuring buskers, and live music usually begins around 8:30 pm.
4. Tokyo, Japan
- Average November temperature: 55°F
The world's largest metropolis, home to 37 million people as of the last count, embraces autumn by November. Temperatures are pleasant, with highs reaching 63°F and light rainfall—around four inches for the month.
The city transforms into a canvas of fiery autumn colors. Brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges blanket the parks and streets as Tokyo’s ginkgo, maple, and zelkova trees shed their leaves. This spectacle ignites a passion in locals for momijigari—the cherished tradition of leaf viewing.
The most renowned spot for experiencing the vibrant fall foliage is the gardens of Rikugi-en. In late November, the park remains open until 9 pm, illuminating the trees as night falls. In my opinion, the city has never looked more stunning, even surpassing the allure of spring's cherry blossoms.
5. Osaka, Japan
- Average November temperature: 57°F
Located about 310 miles southeast of Tokyo, Osaka showcases a vibrant perspective of Japan's culture and history. As an ancient merchant and port city, it embraces a lively, fun-loving spirit rather than the more reserved Japanese traditions.
Slightly warmer and drier in November compared to Tokyo, Osaka also revels in the enchanting fall colors found in its numerous parks and gardens. Average highs reach a pleasant 64°F, and the oppressive humidity of summer is notably absent. With the city cooling off, the streets and canals come alive.
Street food takes on a unique flair here. In the vibrant Dotonbori, dive into the Kuidaore ‘eat until you drop’ experience. Indulge in wagyu beef, massive king crabs, fugu puffer fish, and my personal favorite, okonomiyaki (a savory pancake that originated here).
Stay until dusk and witness the streets morph into a dazzling display as a cascade of neon lights flickers to life. The shimmering reflections on the Dotonbori canal enhance the atmosphere. A must-see is the Glico Running Man, a beacon in the area for nearly 90 years.
The top warm destination in November in North America
According to Dinogo data, Cancún stands out as the premier destination for autumn warmth outside the US. If the high prices and upscale crowds of this mega resort town aren't your style, Mexico offers many other alluring options.
I adore the tranquil village of Nexpa for its autumn surf, and the lively charm of Ensenada on the Baja peninsula. Further afield, I've spent the last few Novembers exploring the rugged northern coast of the Dominican Republic, particularly the stunning Samaná Province.
6. Mexico
- Average November temperature (Cancún): 79°F
While the eastern coast of Mexico is often synonymous with the glitz of Cancún, I lean towards a more laid-back experience. On Mexico’s Pacific coast, temperatures remain similar, but the atmosphere is markedly different.
For a quintessential beach getaway filled with relaxation and fun, embrace the bohemian spirit in Sayulita. This once-peaceful fishing village has evolved into a lively haven for surfers and free spirits alike.
Visiting in November allows you to bypass the peak season crowds. The summer rains and oppressive humidity have subsided, and you might even catch some early season surf if you're fortunate.
Sayulita is recognized as a Pueblo Mágico, or Magic Town, a title given to communities that preserve their authentic architecture, traditions, and culture. It has avoided the mass commercialization seen in nearby Puerto Vallarta.
Instead of towering hotels and major brands, you'll discover locally-run guesthouses and vibrant boutiques. The streets are lined with quaint surf shops, excellent eateries, and even better al pastor stands. It's a delightful, relaxing spot to escape your worries (and the chill) for a few days.
The top warm destinations to explore in November around the globe
In November, spring transitions into summer in Australia. The days grow longer, brighter, and warmer, reviving beaches and barbecues. On the east coast, you'll find some of the finest November weather anywhere. The Saudi Arabian peninsula also shines in fall, with hot yet manageable temperatures as the intense desert heat begins to ease.
7. Sydney, Australia
- Average November temperature: 66°F
November is arguably the prime month to experience the stunning coastal capital of New South Wales. As the month before peak season ramps up temperatures and crowds, November in Sydney offers warmth without the extreme heat.
There’s plenty of space to unwind on its spectacular beaches. When the heat rises, make your way to Bondi or the more tranquil Bronte, alongside the stunning Manly and the serene oasis of Gordon’s Bay. Each one is a gem.
Milder days invite urban adventures. Snap photos on the steps of the Opera House. If you’re feeling adventurous, tackle the popular yet pricey bridge climb. Venture down to The Rocks, where street food stalls coexist with top-tier museums, and historic taverns boast harbor views alongside upscale dining.
A short drive up the coast from Sydney (by Aussie standards) leads to my favorite beach town. Byron Bay might be viewed as a travel cliché, but its allure is undeniable. Look beyond the typical tourists – surfers, wellness enthusiasts, and wide-eyed backpackers – and you’ll find the magic is still alive.
8. Dubai, UAE
- Average November temperature: 75°F
The UAE’s city of gold stands as a marvel of technology and luxury amidst the desert. It serves as a vibrant hub of Arabic culture and entertainment. Renowned for its record-breaking attractions, Dubai boasts perfect weather in November. The oppressive summer heat has subsided, with peak temperatures reaching 85°F and a more pleasant average of 75°. Rain is hardly a concern.
With a budget that outshines most cities, its towering skyscrapers and expansive parks epitomize extravagance. However, nothing rivals the awe of the Museum of the Future. This architectural wonder invites you to journey to the moon and gaze back at Earth.
When it comes to lodging, you have an abundance of options. If you're ready to indulge during the holiday season, the only place to stay is Atlantis The Royal. Launched in 2023, it proclaims itself as the “most ultra luxury experiential resort in the world”. It's hard to contest that claim.
9. Oman
- Average November temperature: 72°F
Just a two-hour drive from the bustling extravagance of Dubai lies a realm of solitude and seclusion. Isolated from the rest of Oman by the UAE, the Musandam Peninsula is often referred to as the Norway of Arabia. This nickname reflects its stunning landscape where the Hajar Mountains meet the Strait of Hormuz.
The ongoing clash between Eurasian and Arabian tectonic plates has sculpted breathtaking khors, rocky inlets that evoke the beauty of Nordic fjords. Serpentine roads wind along the coast, linking small towns and villages. The area's smuggling history adds a lingering sense of intrigue to its cultural tapestry.
The main town, Khasab, serves as your base. Just a short yet breathtaking flight from Oman’s vibrant capital, Muscat, it feels like a different world. Here, you can rent a 4x4 for local travel and set up a 4WD safari to Jebel Harim. Don’t forget to book your dhow cruise – it’s the ultimate way to experience the peninsula’s beauty, and you might even spot some dolphins.
