This place was really lovely for our young family. Overall, we were super happy. The location was great, right beside a public swimming pool area so lots of fun watching the kids jump off the peer. There was a bus stop meters for. The front Tran e which was great for getting to the downtown (5 mins) and a fun journey. 30 cents each! The pools were lovely, and you can’t beat the view. Good variety at breakfast, not much change day to day but we were always able to find something. We got one of the loft rooms but there was really zero sound barrier so it was hard to do anything once the kids were in bed. Some updating in the rooms would be good but given you’re an island in the Azores, it was easy to overlook that. Reception was lovely and very helpful. Lots of people spoke English or enough to communicate your needs. But above all, you can’t beat the view. It’s amazing!

Uma primeira palavra ao Carlos, nesse bar, bom profissional e dedicado de Topo.(deve deixar de fumar) De resto todo o staff, de uma simpatia de excelência, as Anas do pequeno almoço, o seu chefe até a recepção. Gostei dos jantares de confecção suberba e o pequeno almoço nem se fala. Quanto a limpeza dos quartos , 5 estrelas.

I need to give a huge Thanks to Sebastian, Carla, Anna at the hotel! They made our stay here easy, comfortable and enjoyable! Sebastian provided us with excellent recommendations ..for example Rocha Restaurant..delicious and great local atmosphere overlooking the sea. We had a memorable day exploring the island due to Sebastian’s recommendations! The location is great as it’s sits overlooking the sea and close distance to the picturesque city.. I can’t say enough about the people.. so kind, friendly and welcoming.. Thank you! Yes, we would come again!

I traveled alone this time, February 10, 2022, for seven nights, did not use the public bus system at the front door; I will the next time. The ocean is everywhere you look, many hardy people in swimming at times. In September of 2021, I went in at 77, lovely, lots of swimmers. Foodservice is very good for that time of year. Buffett breakfast is always good; you will not need lunch after it. They will cook your eggs any way you want, ask, the staff is always friendly and courteous. I did eat three times as not a guest before. I actually enjoyed my one-on-one late-night last-call meals. My weather was especially good, in the seventies four days, I had to wear a hat, I locked myself out, twice no problem. The pool was very refreshing after a long of driving the island. Returning this April 20, you cannot take it with you. I did walk their crazy spiral tower of babel; the photo ops are worth the walk up; if you are a king or a queen, jump in the ocean for me.

We checked the most expensive hotels and they were not as nice as this one. People were extremely nice it has the most beautiful pool right on the ocean with the mountain in the background. Traditional European breakfast were included. The only place on the island we will stay again.

I booked this hotel as a treat to myself because the window installers on my island had to saw through the stone walls of my ancient house, and the fine powder was a disaster to clean… Knowing I had to spend a night in Terçeira, before catching a flight to California, I booked a night at Hotel do Caracol. Then I read reviews saying the place needed TLC, and the employees were not all as nice as they could be, and I got a bit worried. So I am happy to say, I am having the best time at Hotel,Do Caracol! The premises are just fine! I have the garden view, and I love it! The sea and the swimming pool are just steps away, and I enjoyed both. The buffet was very very good, and the service was 5 star! Só. Don’t listen to the snobby reviews. I will be a repeat guest hear, I love this hotel!

Bel emplacement pour cet hôtel. Si le Hall d'entrée est agréable, le reste est vieillissant et les chambres auraient besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement ! Piscine vue mer, un peu petite pour la taille de l'hôtel Petit déjeuner correct mais sans plus. Pas déçue mais pas enchantés non plus. Plutôt un 3 étoiles

Piacevole hotel, non in posizione centrale rispetto ad Angra, ma in riva al mare e con una vista fantastica. Ha una piccola, ma comoda, piscina e l’accesso diretto alla baia. Camere con balcone e bagni comodi. Punto debole è la colazione, di ridotte varietà e qualità. Personale gentile.

Decent size room with large balcony overlooking the bay. So nice to have a bath instead of just a shower. Safe and fridge but no tea/coffee/water. There is nowhere nearby to eat except a Burger King at a petrol station. Rooms were cleaned late, sometimes after 4pm

Estive de 21 a 24 Março com MP. Gostei muito, do pequeno almoço, tinha o que é necessario para todos os gostos. No jantar atendimento 5* o sr António que nos atendeu nas bebidas foi espectacular...... Comida muito boa e fabulosas sobremesas.

Premessa: non l’ho scelto, ma era nelle tappe di un viaggio “Fly and drive”. E’ un bell’albergo, che porta i suoi anni in modo ancora decoroso. Pulito, con le sue simpatiche piscine, ha personale affabile e gentile. Ha uno sviluppo architettonico in verticale, per questo il piano -1 offre ad est la vista mare, ad ovest la vista muro, non esattamente piacevole. Aspetto positivo i 2 piani interrati di garage gratuito, anche se per accedervi non si deve avere una auto di grandi dimensioni. Colazione soddisfacente.

Hotel muito bem localizado, junto de uma praia com águas claras e com boas instalações. O pessoal da receção é simpático e atencioso. O hotel falha na limpeza dos quartos que nem sempre foi cuidada. Quem tem um carro, do hotel tem acesso rápido para as várias partes da ilha. Quem não tem carro, do hotel ao centro da cidade de Angra do Heroísmo é uma caminhada agradável de 10/15 minutos.

The good: The hotel is less than 1 km from the historic center of Angra do Heroismo but has the bus stop to the center right in front ( the cost for one way ticket is 0,35 Euros) , buses come every 15 min. , the ride is about 10 min. It is right next to the public beach "Zona balnear da Silveira"and overlooks the sea Excellent service (front desk, restaurant, spa etc) Has one outdoor and one indoor swimming pools. The bad: Facilities need a serious uplifting : it is generally clean but has the feel of the 80'. The outdoor swimming pool is filthy: even my kids didn't want to go in : bird poop at the rim, hairs and other debris floating in the water, mirky water etc. The one indoor is very clean , maybe because no-one use it? We ate at the buffet two straight nights and on the second night, you can see that left over from the night before was used ex : night #1 had a delicious sword fish dish and on the second night, we had fish pasta... exactly same appetizers for both nights etc... Overall, it was OK for our stop over on our returning trip... but I would stay elsewhere if I was to visit Terceira.
