Nice hotel, very well located. Espacious rooms, comfy beds, good bathroom. Special mention to Havi, a girl at the reception desk, who helped us recover a sunglasses that an Italian guest had stolen. She checked the camera images and solved everything fast and easy. Besides, really nice and professional person.

Deluxe hotel, great location with amazing views from the terrace. Fresh and modern styling and immaculately clean throughout. Access is straightforward- just follow the clear signs for the hotel directly uphill and a couple of 90 degree right turns at the end to arrive at parking area below the hotel next to Hotel Kalemi 2 and call the hotel for them to help you park. Drinks are very reasonably priced and the conversion to euros is fair if you don’t want to pay in Lek. All staff very attentive and friendly. Loved our stay here and definitely recommend

We drove the ‘wrong’ way up the hill which was terrifying so definitely check out and if in doubt call ahead about the route but once you are up the hill the location is perfect for the bazaar and night life and the castle. Very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent and the honey, which is delicious, is also for sale!

I spent a night with my family there. The hospitality amazed us. Everyone was smiling and ready to help us at any time for anything we needed. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious. The guy at the reception was always smiling and ready to help anyone.

The hotel is located in the top of the Gjirokaster. The view was so nice. But the parking lot was uncomfortable.

Great central location. Clean hotel. Breakfast is amazing! Everyone friendly. Buzzy bar atmosphere. Lovely terrace with great views. What’s not to like?! Highly recommended place to stay in this oh so interesting ancient town. So much to see in Gjirocastra, you’ll need at least 2 nights.

Hotel de diseño moderno en su interior, aunque la reforma no es reciente. Excelente terraza y muy próximo a la zona céntrica de restaurantes y ambiente nocturno de la ciudad. Buen restaurante. Habitaciones correctas y funcionales, no muy grandes. A tener en cuenta que no tiene parking y está ubicado en la parte más alta de la ciudad, a la que se accede por calles muy estrechas, empedradas y empinadas, peatonales por la noche.. lo que pueden hacer una auténtica odise llegar hasta la proximidad del mismo, para aparcar en la calle.. si hay sitio.

Bell'hotel centrale con ampia terrazza, comodo per la visita del centro storico. La camera era piccola ma con bella vista panoramica. La connessione wifi piuttosto debole e incostante. La colazione migliorabile. Il personale gentile.

The hotel was great! Location is very close to the bazaar and the path to the castle, receptionists are fantastic, the room was clean, modern, and comfortable. Views from our balcony and the large patio seating areas are gorgeous! Food in the restaurant is just ok. There were a few minor things, such as the room is quite small and very plain (no decor or art work on the walls), the batteries in air con didn’t work, we had to ask for glasses for the room, they provide a coffee maker but no coffee pods, the eggs and sausage in the breakfast buffet were cold, even at 8:00 am. Perhaps they’re just getting set up for the season, and they were quick to remedy anything of concern when we let them know. They have a little way to go before they will warrant 10 out of 10, but they are almost there and we still think this is the best hotel choice in Gjirokaster!

An elegant, modern hotel, beautifully appointed, right in the heart of the old town and in easy walking distance to the castle. Kettle and tea making facilities in the room. Very friendly staff. I would avoid rooms on the ground floor which can be noisy until the bar is closed.

This hotel is so well located for the old town and castle but is a nightmare to drive to using phone or GPS. A good tip is to ask for the geographic coordinates of the parking when you book and use those. Be prepared to drive round extremely narrow and steep streets though. Our room was quite small but clean and modern. The main downside was the wifi didn’t work unless you sat right by the door (or on the toilet). If you really need to use the internet in your room, my advice would be to avoid room 205 at all costs. Breakfast (included for us) was nice but we were only offered eggs (either fried or a plain omelet) and bread with preserves. We did sneak a look at the à la carte menu and saw that omelets featured with cheeses, sausage etc but when we asked for this we just got a blank, look so went with the flow. The flow, service wise generally, consisted of having to go to the bar and request drinks as the waiters don’t seem to think it appropriate to come out to your table and ask if you’d like another drink when you’ve obviously finished the first one. This is a pity as there is a really nice patio area which would probably get much more use if the waiters actually performed as one might reasonably expect them to. You also have to like the pop music that’s played via the speakers all day and night. That said, we enjoyed our stay as old Gjirokaster is a beautiful little town that most people probably have no idea exists and the Fantasy is right in the middle of it.

I booked a night at Hotel Fantasy by Booking and the photos and description that they gave me on Whatsapp was wrong and deceivefull! They don't have parking lot, not even an entrance for cars...what is crazy because with luggage is a nightmare! So the only good and positive thing about this hotel was the night receptionist called Egla (Egna?)...she was simply amazing and so helpful...tying to compensate the serious negative things in this hotel! She was really so polite and nice. But the rest of the experience was I nightmare: the Wi-Fi didn't work, the phone in the room didn't work, the cleaning of the room was bad (there were dead flies in the room), there were many broken things in the WC and the worst was the breakfast! The boy in the breakfast service was rude, and didn't care about anything! Lots of things were missing in the breakfast and there were no reposition at all! And this happened at 08:00...He was more occupied in drinking his juice and talking to the recepcionist in the morning than to serve us! THE HORRIBLE BREAKFAST: It had no fruit; It had no juices (just a little of orange juice); It had no warm milk; It had no cereals; It had no iogurte; It had no vegetables (just old tomatoe); It had no cheese or ham; It had no forks! Yes...no forks (we should eat in our hands?!) It was so so so bad...I don't recommend this hotel...it is a scam...and the service is horrific! Simply horrific! And the recepcionist in the morning (not Egna) was rude and very responsive! And tried to charge me 80€/night when my reservation in Booking was 72€/night! I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. There are so many other great choices in the old town of Gjirokastër!

This hotel would have great potential, but it still needs to take care of its customers. certainly, there are qualities: beautiful building, with well-decorated corridors, elevator, well located with superb open views of the valley, the old and new towns, large flat terrace in front. however a lot of downsides. to illustrate a few of them, 1) twice, I went to reception to ask to operate the tv and its particular “smart box”, I waited 1 hour the first time without any response, and 15 minutes a second time … nothing is followed concretely, in 2 days no TV, b) the room telephone did not work, c) very basic room, dull, in terms of decoration, d) on the 5 electrical outlets in the room , impossible to easily recharge our devices, one socket by the wifi router, the 2nd by the smart tv box, the other by the bedside lamp, a 4th by the kettle, fridge, etc… e) breakfast is d 'a distressing basic, non-existent service, and for example the hot dishes initially are not kept warm in any way, fruit and unfortunately nothing local is offered, and we discover by chance that we can be served a cappuccino, no tea offered… in short, not 4* level f) you can add a very expensive taxi to go from the bus station to the hotel. Like many other hotels, even much simpler, they offer to pick you up, here there is only a few minutes journey (the return was however granted to us by the hotel, but at the cost of a repeated request , almost reluctantly, nothing followed for us) g) during check out, no “bon voyage”, no excuses. h) we have not received any invoice after payment. i) our room was not made on the 2nd day (sic), it seems that it should have been mentioned in advance… j) the first evening, loud music in front of the terrace, difficult to fall asleep k) early the next morning, waking up by the gardener cutting the hedges in front of the hotel rooms (sic)…. in short a hotel, with weak communication and visibly not managed for customers

My son left his necklace on the bedside table in the hotel. It was sentimental but clearly his mistake leaving it there. When trying to reasonably speak with the hotel once we had already departed and realised he had left the necklace. They supplied us with strange cctv footage of us in the hotel on arrival, at breakfast and accused us of lying. It made a very sad end to what was a nice break in Albania.
